What I have found is that designed chutes do not have facilities for separation and holding, such as cows from calves, without running the entire herd through the chute/head gate. Which may cause injury to the calves.
Also most do not have holding pens after the chute/head gate for holding and separation, such as for bulls/steers from heifers. Or breed from open cows.
