Is Gene Editing For You?

https://www.agriculture.com/crops/corn/how-gene-editing-will-boost-crop-yields?utm_source=ag-newslet...

Here is a well-developed story of the status of gene editing.  There is hope that removing or disabling a gene will be better accepted by consumers than GMO, which inserts an alien gene.

I wonder if companies might deploy gene edited crops first to countries where they would make the most improvement in people's lives and let the U.S. and other developed populations get around to it when they accept it?
