Re: 2013 Fall Harvest Is A Wrap
That's a good idea Husker, I never thought about removing a couple access panels. I'm in the process of completely cleaning out the junk that I've inherited sitting around in my shed. believe it or not, I'm making progress but I've got a long ways to go. Eliminating a mouse's hiding or nesting spots helps reduce their existence, but once again the cats do a pretty good job of that as well.

Re: 2013 Fall Harvest Is A Wrap
I just finished up on Saturday, very pleased with all final yields. Always blow things off and leave the elevator traps open. Also throw some poison in sandwich type Tupperware with a mouse sized hole cut in the sides and leave them here and there throughout the machine.
I use an industrial compressor with a V4 gasoline engine to blow everything off when it's all said and done. Park things in the pasture so the cattle can eat the leftovers. Really surprising how much silage accumulates on the roofs of dump trucks after chopping!
Just started shelling corn for the neighbor on Sunday. He planted with a 4 row and I'm chasing rows with an 8. It's interesting to say the least. One trailer load at a time as I have to haul it 40 miles down the road for him as well. Might get him done this week and go to hauling another man's beans next week.
At least I can park the combine after this corn though!
