34 and hard frost in Va this morning

My earliest planted corn (4-15) has 4 collars. Planted in worked ground at 2 1/4". Frost is even on the tops of hills here in the Shenandoah valley this morning. Beans are about 5% emerged or goosenecked. 86 for a high tomorrow. Any thoughts or insights? It's a wait and see story for me...

All these late frosts and freezes definitely are not location prejudice. As the spring rolls on, there seem to be more and more locations that are becoming affected.

Re: 34 and hard frost in Va this morning

Im located on the Michigan/Indiana line and we had a hard frost Sunday night. My corn planted May 2nd is or was about 1.5 inches tall. Most of the corn made it through the frost but the corn in the low or muck spots of the fields got smoked. I think most of the effected corn will pull out of it and reemerge, but I am still expecting a 5% stand loss in spots.
