Ash Trees

I know this isn't dealing with traditional crops, but I'm curious if any of you have treated your ash trees for EAB and had success and or failure. It has not shown up nearby but it lept over us to Omaha. We are about 45 miles from known infestations. Do you use the Bayer roduct and just drench the tree in the sring at the correct time or do youy hire someone to inject the tree? We have about 6 fairly large ash trees and the cost of removal would be quite painful monetarily. I figure annual treatment at about $25 per tree and sounds very simple.

Re: Ash Trees

I have one smaller ash tree that I am using the Bayer product on.  Also use it to keep the Japanese beetles from eating up the linden trees and roses.  I've used it per directions for 3 years.  I don't know if it is a long term solution or not.  I'm in a county that has been designated as EAB contaminated for 2-3 years now.
