Banvel on corn

Will Banvel hurt my corn or at least set it back?  We had to plant late and I hate to do anything that might slow down the growth.

Re: Banvel on corn

I wouldn`t use Banvel this time of year, it could take your neighbor`s beans for a ride.  They say Status is safer, Calisto is good.  If you have RR corn, up the rate a little, if the corn isn`t too big 1 lb of atrazine is good.  Banvel could lay your corn flat, guaranteed, after a wind.

Re: Banvel on corn

BA is right. banvel is a good product, but works too well on a hot humid june day. I've even had the small amount in Distinct (sprayed by a neighbor) affect my soybeans. Hornet is a good product, depending on the weeds you're going after. It's poor on lambsquarter and waterhemp. Good on buttonweeds and giant ragweed.
