I know I missed the cover crop discussion last fall but I have some buckwheat I would like to plant on open ground.
Can I graze it with cows?....... will it make decent feed if i decide to bale it? Will it handle the heat that is coming??
It makes pretty good feed if harvested or grazed before early flower stage, but it's not very good at all if left any longer because it's feed value drops quickly and it becomes unpalatable.
