Cattle Manure
I've got a 7.5 acre creek bottom field I'm going to try to go for a bin buster yield of some type in 2014 although I'm not sure if I'll go corn or milo, but probably milo. I'm going to apply dry cattle manure to this parcel later this fall probably in late October or even November, depending on harvest. My question, should I get the manure tested before I apply it or just lay it on about 2 or 3 inched thick and then test the soil next spring before I plant?

Re: Cattle Manure
Both. If nothing else it would be a good baseline for future reference.
