Idleriver how did your corn turn out? I have heard guys north of us getting big corn yields. Here in southern Branch county we seem to be in the 105 to 125 bu range.  Lots of rain early followed by nearlly 0" of rainfall in July coupled with 90 degree temps did a number on the corn here.

I took a flight today from Iowa City to Dubuque to Waterloo and back at about 1000 to 2000 feet above ground level.  My estimate is that about 95% of the soybeans are out and over half the corn.  Some were working on Sunday but a lot of machinery was standing idle.

In some parts, there was a fair amount of fall tillage done or being done and in other areas none.  There were some large round corn fodder bales in some places.

All in all, it looks like harvest is progressing well everywhere I looked.
