Re: Harvest Issues
Bigger problem is full elevators waiting on RR cars, and rain.

Re: Harvest Issues
I had one field of corn that was terrible on standablity ! Really no ear dieases for me - some light dipoldia here and there - Local elevator is testing for it - the gal told me some have had high readings and they are docking for it - We also haul DDG's and pick up a load for a local hog farmer - They called yesterday and changed our pick up point , because of to high of readings -
Pretty much hit and miss here from what guys are telling me - yet it has been really warm here so it will get worse as time go's on - as for us - we are going after the corn hard - May be a BIG mistake to let the beans sit- but the corn needs to come out now - not latter -

Re: Harvest Issues
Very true Ecin....
If there is any heat at all it is falling appart,, especially on lighter soils..... Ugly corn that was pretty all year.... Not disease issue... or insects just falling appart.

Re: Harvest Issues
yeah - that was a bad deal ! We had got done the same day - and we locked up and came on home for the day - then the phone starting ringing - about who it was - I didn't know anything as I was outside - wondering what the chopper was doing just south of us , well it turned out to be the Med Chopper - Boy that truck was a class act ! pretty , pretty out fit ! Had to cut the top off the cab to get him out -
Good news --- He's home after a few days in the city .
We went pass LCM's the other day and It looks like they got most picked up , But still plenty to get stuck in the tires of the mow - lol
