Re: How wet is it?
SC WI...We had 4" in May and 5" in June so far. Crops look v. good, but still a lot of spraying and sidedressing to do. Areas in very N Ill have had double our rain and look a little ragged and yellow in spots. Just need a couple of days of sunshine to finish up. It rains every or every other day for the past week and a half.

Re: How wet is it?
Had 11" from April 23 to mid May. Started planting May 28. Rained out June 1. Have had only 1 day planting since then June 4. Might be able to finish this week if it stays dry and no more tornadoes appear!

Re: How wet is it?
Absolutely soaked. Comparable to last year, but did have enough dry days in April for corn planting and a few in May for beans or to finish corn. If you "dallied" then a good chance you aren't done with beans. I'm positive no more corn will be planted but the neighbor did replant a few ponds last week. A lot of COC looks very uneven and only fair at best. Corn on bean ground looks great.

Re: How wet is it?
In South Central Iowa the crops look terrible. I drove through that area a couple weeks ago. The tight soils that doesn't allow moisture to drain has the crops standing in water. One farmer told me they have had 30" of rain since April. Standing ponds in fields Iowa/Missouri line area.
Oh and I didn't mention they need to get the weeds sprayed in those fields too - good luck doing that. Have to put a spray tank on a motor boat.
In Central Iowa I'll have to get a bigger rain gauge - it was overflowing the 6" top. Need to check those crops more to empty the rain gauge sooner..
Rain makes GRAIN!

Re: How wet is it?
Here in Missouri (pronounced "Misery") there are lots of beans still to plant. Lots that are stunted back, yellow, drowned out, you name it. I'm sure not all the corn that was planned got planted. Beans that were planted 20th Apr. are at the most 10inches tall. Beans planted Memorial weekend on bottomland are still in the coteyledon stage. Haven't turned a tap since June 1. I've lost count of the rainfall. At this point I could care less how much we've had. It's wet!!
