Lexar and Sorghum
I planted sorghum then two days later applied roundup and lexar (contains Callisto) to ground. None of the sorghum came up. I was told the callisto may have killed the seed even though it was treated with concept III safener. I used lexar as recommended by chemical rep. It has been two weeks since first planted. Anyone know if it has been long enough to allow me to replant??

Re: Lexar and Sorghum
Did you get an excessive amount of rain right after you applied the Lexar? The label shows it should be safe as long as the seed is treated with the right safener...Could the seed company have screwed up? Someone owes you a planting of seed...whether it's the seed company or the chemical company...the way I read the label. Of course both reps are going to deny it's their fault...so tie 'em together and see which one loses...
As far as replanting...if it was the chemical the first time..do you really want to go with that seed company's seed on a second try? I'd suggest to the rep he may not get any more of your business if they don't square things up with the chemical rep..and vice versa....

Re: Lexar and Sorghum
One caveat to my previous post....if that sorghum was planted on very sandy or sandy loam soil...the chemical company has a restriction on the label..because even they can't guarantee that the safener will work when you get a big rain after application.

Re: Lexar and Sorghum
The chemical company has replaced the seed and chemical but I'm wondering if I can replant now after 14 days??
