N-- Test Plot
Last Friday - I did a small pop. and ear count -- I have been doing this for years at this time - to see how and what the yield may or may not be do - last year was NO fun .
In this plot I have 90 , 150 , 180 , 210 , my 2 pass and the Adapt N - replicated 4 times across the field = 33 acres .
I did not have the time to check all -- that will happen this Friay with my Shelby County Educator and Agronomist .
Remeber - thiss is only a snap shot for that day , and not what the final yield will be , BTW we are 3 inchs -- short of rain fall = new Kansas -- lol
Picture 513 - is a group photo of my 2 pass ( top down ) tthen the 210 rate -Adapt -N , Adapt n then the 90 straight rate .
My 2 pass - ears were 16 by 43 and 14 by 43 by 35,000 pop. = yield 265 bpa
210 rate -- 14 by 39 and 16 by 44 by 35, 000 = 256 bpa
Adapt -N 14 by 40 and 12 by 44 by 35,000 = 224 bpa
And the 90 unit straight rate -- 15 by 38 and 14 by 40 by 35,000 = 234 bpa
Will be interesting on how much yield drop off there will be on the 90 rate as well as the others .

Re: N-- Test Plot
Refresh our memory, are we shooting for top yield or top ROI? Our just a test plot to get fertilizer results? Looks good in the pics.

Re: N-- Test Plot
Thanks for the update. Interesting to see the difference in kernal developement also. Question - Was the first pass of the 90/90 test preplant or early sidedress?
TIA

Re: N-- Test Plot
hank -- thats what really caught my eye too - the kernel developement -- the 210 - was the go getter from the start - and now showing it in fill - the thing I don't understand is why the Adapt N is ahead of the 2 pass .
All rates were put on sidedress at V-3-4 - was playing the rain game with it - lol After I put it on - we got 3/4 of a inch that night .
The second pass of mine and the Adapt N went on the same day -- mine was V-8-9 and the Adapt N was V7 -8 .
