Nitrification inhibitors

All,

Have any of you used nitrification inhibitors (N-Serve, for example). Have they worked for you in conserving and preserving N for your crops? Looking at doing some stories along the lines of how to counter the Des Moines Waterworks lawsuit here in central Iowa (DM Waterworks is suing three upstream drainage districts for nitrates in rivers providing DM drinking water), so looking for tools farmers can use in managing N.

I try to spoon feed nitrogen throughout the growing season with most being sidedress in early June.
