I know what a sandpoint is. You are very correct on the fresh water aspect. I will be a very valuable commodity in the future.

Re: Ontario corn crop pictures

I think the dry falls that you are talking about is Jones Falls. It went dry a couple of years ago, when we were in a dry summer. Other falls around Owen Sound are Inglis falls, and Indian River falls. It is a beautiful city, but turning into a retirement town, as most factories are shut down, moving to States or Mexico.

You say north of London. Exactly where would that be. I know that area very well.

Re: Ontario corn crop pictures

How about Stratford area?

BTW I have a cousin who is retired in Owen Sound now.

Of course she worked there for many years prior to retirement.

Re: Ontario corn crop pictures

I know lots of hay guys near stratford. Richard Colston, John & Chris Rumstedder, etc. If you're coming to Owen Sound sometime in the future, call me and come to the farm.  www.maplane.com

Know the names but not the operations or people.

I am closer to St Marys.

Know of a Baker who sells small square bales down into the US south for horses, or used to since he is my age he may have retired by now.

Daughter was near Chatsworth for a couple years learning to be a saddle maker.

Tom Bickell from St Marys has land on Hyw 6 south of Chatsworth.

Will try to remember to give you a call if we are up that way.

BTW did some looking and I think it was Indian Falls we walked to. Hike was along a dry stream bed through woodlot in a gorge or gully that had been washed out from thousands of years of water I assume. Just north of the city or perhaps it was still in the city.

Was a few years ago when we had some time to burn one day waiting for an auger to be rebuilt at ????? Auger sales on Hyw 21.

Re: Ontario corn crop pictures

Yes, that would be Indian Falls. Very nice there with the escarpment. That is one of the smaller falls around Owen Sound. I know where you got your auger fixed. I'm only a 10 minute drive from Chatsworth. I have 2 sisters that live in that area.
