I may have to alter my earlier post. Here it is 9-11 and my earliest planted beans, 6-3, 3.0 maturity are so green the wife says they look blue. 9-25 has been the start harvest date for years. 2007 was similar with a lot of late season rain, 8-24 mostly, which kept the stems green till the 1st hard frost by which time we were mostly done harvesting. That was my 1st experience with 60+ bpa beans and it was a real battle getting them thru the combine with the green stems.
