Problems With Soybean Weed Control

I see a lot of very clean soybean fields, but I also see some that are very weedy.  I'm hearing various farmers and the county agents talking about a tough soybean weed year.

I had some Liberty Link beans that got pretty weedy.  I hit them wiht a second pass.  It frosted the weeds pretty well.  Now, if it will hold the through canopy.  The beans are at R1 and were pretty close when I sprayed them.  We'll have to see.  I wasn't going to get anything if I didn't.

Re: Problems With Soybean Weed Control

I've double cropped a few acres of beans following wheat harvest for the first time ever.  I can already tell you that I'm gonna be fighting volunteer wheat as well as pig weeds.

I used the normal dose of RR but this year added 1 1/4 oz ac of zidua  and have the cleanest field that I can remember. Not sure if it was just luck and the weather or if the zidua really works that well.
