Soybean cyst nematode-resistant varieties
All,
i've been at meetings where soybean specialists are concerned about soybean cyst nematodes (SCN) resisting SCN-resistant soybeans. The problem is the vast majority (around 95%, I think) of these resistant varieties have the same source of resistance (PI88788), and the SCN are figuring it out and resisting it. Similar to what happened with weeds and glyphosate.
For those of you in SCN areas, are these varieties still holding up for you? Guess this one might be hard to pick up on, unless there are some dramatic yield losses. Be interested, though, on what you're seeing.
Thanks,

Re: Soybean cyst nematode-resistant varieties
You know, come to think about it, I haven't been paying a lot of attention to SCN recently. 10 years ago I spent a lot of time thinking about it.
Now, it's more likely SDS or white mold that people talk about.
I'm not hearing much talk about SCN failures.
