Where do you farm? The need for innoculant varies across the corn belt. In the east, it seems to pay. In the west, it's much less less certain that you'll get an economic return.

Jim I farm on the Michigan side of the MI, IN and OH line just north of I-80. We have ground that is some of the best dirt in the country in one field and some of the worst ground just across the fence in another. We have sandy loam soils on most of our farm. I think inoculant would pay in the areas of the field with high sand contents? Hymark I looked into Graph-ex last night and plan on buying some. How soon should I buy inoculant? I don't want to wait until the last minute, but I don't want the inoculant to die if I have it for too long.
