Sulfur deficiencies?
All,
A few years ago, I was walking my farm in NE South Dakota and saw some light striping in young corn. I was puzzled at first because it looked like sulfur deficiency, which tne normally occured on sandy soils. Subsequently, though, they've become quite common and curbed by adding S to various fertilizer mixes.
Was wondering, though, since this month seems to be cold/wet, if you've noticed any springing up more than normal? Or if the S that's applied these days pretty much takes care of it?
Thanks,

Re: Sulfur deficiencies?
I'm not seeing any sulfur deficiency around here. I had my soil tested for it this year and it's OK. I think in eastern Iowa, it may show up more in alfalfa in some years.
