Sweet Clover ?'s
I seeded a strip of sweet clover next to an alflafa field last year in hopes that the sweet clover will grow tall enough this year to also become a snow catch. If I were take a cutting of the sweet clover how much will it affect its height in the fall ? or should I just not touch it ?

Maybe JR will help us on this one--he plants a variety of crops for his dairy

I don't think it'll regrow as high as you'd like it cutting it this late.

Re: Sweet Clover ?'s
Go ahead and cut it...then go back out and seed some brown midrib sorghum/sudangrass. You'll get a cutting of clover..the SS will grow back taller and thicker..and if you cut it again by July 4..I think it will regrow to about 5 foot tall.
