I noticed and my seed dealer confirmed that soybeans seem to be growing taller this year. Mine are chest high and I'm 6'0". They are already getting tangled and I wonder if lodging is going to be a big issue this fall.
What do you see in the soybean fields?
Re: Tall Soybeans
Beans around here are shorter than normal, none truly covering 30" rows. But I select a shorter bean to avoid lodging and it seems like beans that are chest high have 30 pods and beans thigh high have 130 pods. Maybe this year`ll be different, maybe it`s a "north of I-80/south of I-80" thing?
