This little spit of snow and rain is giving farmers in eastern Iowa a day to rest and regroup. Combines have been hitting the field steadily for two weeks and most beans are done. I finished yesterday. Corn is well underway for many, with some getting a good start before they got in to beans. some late season corn still looks green, but it's nearly all black layered. The question is, what moisture is it?
Beans did about average. Not as good as last year, an exceptional year for me. About APH. I've heard of corn numbers that run the gammit but are generally better than most woulld have predicted. I don't know on mines as I haven't started yet but hope to as soon as it's fit to get in the field.
