Wheat looking rough
Wheat went into winter on shaky footing due to a dry October and less than usual growth. Last 2 weeks of continous sub freezing temps, no snow cover and 20-30 winds are making a bad thing worse.

Re: Wheat looking rough
Wheat in this area very's greatly from field to field. We are getting plenty of lake effect snow and the chance of a snowstorm by the end of the week could give us enough moisture to be back to normal.

Re: Wheat looking rough
I drove around some today and it's worse than I thought. Wheat looks like it is in clumps. We had 3" of rain before it froze up but ground is dry. Son just left for Kalkaska Mi. Lot of snow up there.
