trouble
my neighbors and i are having trouble getting corn to dry in our in-bin dryers. what is different this year than years past i don't know but this is driving us nuts. any suggestions?

Rawhide - It could be the paracarp ( skin) on the corn is thicker from the dry summer you had = harder drying --we had that same deal here last fall - I can dry somewhere around 675 to 725 bph on 24 % corn - last year I could only get 325 to 375 an hour old of the old girl .
You may have to pull a load out of the center to let the air come up threw it faster - If that don't work then I would punt : )

the co-op gas guy told me to turn down the gas pressure so the heater cycles less but won't that use excessive gas? i think he was smiling when he told me

We shut fans and burners off for 18-24 hrs when having trouble drying. called steeping. (Shut down hot)
