Clark Co. Nort . Cent. Wi. .......All tillable 40 acres sold for $5000/ acre....good laying 40 for " Here ". New high for the area. Local dairy buyer.

Jim that is cheaper than buying 40 acres elsewhere and moving it next to yours. Some folks wait a whole lifetime for that 40 next door to come up for sale. That doesn't mean it's a good decision. It merely means that a person that is financially blessed can do these things whether they make sense or not

Jim - how big of an impact will that have on land valuations in that area relating to taxes?
Will the assessor(s) take the "uniqueness" of this sale into consideration?

Hull is in northwest Iowa near where other record land prices occured last year, so I don't know how far out of range it is for that country.
