Never heard of it. What kind of assistance on marketing does the government provide?

Re: AD 1026 form
Nothing magic about that form, by itself it "guarantees" nothing. Anyone who has been farming for 1 year or more and has been reporting their acreages to FSA, has most likely already signed it in the past, it is already on file at FSA, and does not need a new one. I believe the form certifies what farms are operated, that they have "conservation plans" approved by NRCS, and that the farms are in compliance. Therefore, those who are opposed to farm programs and other potential benefits, should be 1000% supportive of what the AD-1026 certification actually represents, conservation plan compliance.

Re: AD 1026 form
May all be but what caught my eye was the 2014 farm welfare has some new requirements that were not in previous bill One being guaranteeing that the taxpayers will continue paying the 65% subsidy for the farmer beloved crop ins premiums.

I don't know about that it has something to do about crop ins and the taxpayer 65% support of crop ins..
How new your cheap food policy is why taypayers owe you their money. Try living buying food on 5/10/12 dollar hour jobs before taxes and see howr "your cheap policy sits with them.. I doubt you would would know being born with a silver spoon in mouth

Re: AD 1026 form
Anyone making $12/hr doesn`t pay federal income tax, they actually get a "earner income credit" back...no, I`m not begrudging them of that, they need that I`m just being honest here. The half of this country that actually pays federal income tax is subsidizing multi-billion dollar conglomerates so that they are able to hire workers at LESS than a living wage.
The American farmer is doing more than his or her parts in keeping food in the US the most reasonably priced and safest on the planet, bar none! Imagine being that worker making $12/hr and 1/3 or more of your check going towards food as is the case in most of the rest of the world!
Ironically these farm programs that you always complain about, 80% never go to the farmer, but rather fund the food stamp program. So, don`t belly-ache about the US farmer with your belly full.

Re: AD 1026 form
we all ways hear that excuse $15.00 they don't pay income taxes but pay sales tax, ss tax, excize taxs among a few with no income protection like farmers are afford thru farm subsidies.handouts
Add it up 4.00 hamburger, 4.00 milk out of 12.00, gone in a hurry .......
Should someone complain farmers average income is 15/20 k more than non ag wages who is realy on the welfore rolls?
as far as belly aching farmers they are out there purchasing half mill combine and equipment. purchasing 8/10/12K land but belly ache they couldn't afford to pay the full premium on crop ins. answer me how much 62% you get to keep in your bank with this handout goes to pay your "income taxes" so do real you realy pay income taxes

Re: AD 1026 form
Sales tax is good, sales tax is nice but farm subsidies are paid out of the federal budget. Look, this year many farmers will lose money, a few will go broke because of weather and low prices. You can talk "safety nets" all you want but in the real world the government isn`t going save everyone...nor should they.
I don`t need crop insurance...I`ll be blunt and step on toes but those that need crop insurance are probably farming land the is better suited for pasture. But, I understand.."$7 corn" and it`s funner loading corn that sorting and loading cattle, especially when someone gets north of 60. If crop insurance went away tomorrow, I wouldn`t change my crops or rotation one bit, my wallet would be fatter for not having to shell out the premium..."So, why do you sign up for insurance if you don`t need it????" ....Well, my history is proven and I do have to keep a banker comfortable in giving me money, so that cost of 4 bushel of corn to protect against a event such as Yellowstone errupting keeps everyone calm. If that cost became 6 or 7 bushel of corn then that would be too high of cost and I would drop it and my banker could sweat a little 🙂
$4 hamburger? Go to Tokyo or Paris and price hamburger.
