Re: Buffetts

His thinking is some what against the grain of todays economics of stop  --start- -stop gimmickry  ---high fashion high rollers chide him for his "low key " eat at dairy queen philosophy ---and to top it off he is content to  live in  " Omaha " of all places --- Grandpa always said to  "respect one's elders"  --- there are some monetary sleepers around these parts that have  "Berkshire -A" in their portfolio --- When  " Warren"  strait talks lots of  locals listen ---

Re: Buffetts

Close, but a bit too contemptuous, some might object to referring to our president as an intestinal probe/packer.  How about "Obama's social justice economic policy", or "Obama's socialistic wealth spreading ideology".

Re: Buffetts

I think a lot of the stuff you read in the mags are paid for pages, that you, I, or anyone else can have run about ourselves, if we want to pay for the space.

While we are on the subhect, did the news get far out of Nebraska, about Warren's right-hand man being accused of insider trading.  The actual trades happened a while ago, but it re-surfaced recently, where Berkshire Hathaway reached an agreement with the Obama Justice Department, that if they fired the guy accused (Sokol), (and rumor has a few other things, but I don't have a link to substantiate it).  In return the JD won't investigare Buffett, or Berk.

Oh, and when they talk about Warren's secretary, and her 'salary' compared to her 'taxes' be sure to ask about how her stock options are doing.

Re: Whose hand is he biting

I don't think he is 'biting' any hand.  He is probably the shrewdest investor ever, and plans on giving more to charitable causes, than any other person alive ever has (in terms of dollar donations).  He is an investor first and foremost, who is also a likable guy, and quite the philanthropist.  Just don't forget that he is always thinking about what is best for his investments.

Maybe, he believes that the policies he supports will help grow the economy, and thus his company, along with everyone else.

Maybe, he is just watching out for himself,

Who knows, but for the most part, what he says and does are well thought out, and level headed.
