Buying on the Web

Was just wondering if anyone had purchased inputs off the internet. I'm trying to keep COP down and was thinking about getting some of my chemicals from a web site. Is it worth it out too risky?

Re: Buying on the Web

I wouldn't, it's nice to have a local connection just in case you have an issue later in the season. I understand about keeping COP down, but in some cases a dollar saved is not necessarily a dollar earned.

Inputs, not really, parts, yes Sloan parts
Express, shoup manufacturing, sprayers speciality. Abilene machine, bootheal AG parts
and wortherton AG parts.....dont do much
Without checking their prices.

Re: Buying on the Web

Several years ago I bought from a chemical website that "moved carryover supply" from the previous year at discount prices.

It was ok.  Always got what I expected.  But I stopped as the generics just kept coming and local independent suppliers emerged.

Had an odd feeling the last product I bought off the internet was delivered by an older model auto, 5 cases of an expensive product in the back seat.  Driver told me it was picked up in Idaho.  (We are in extreme sw Ks.) Then he asked me If I could use more, he had another 10 boxes in the trunk.  I bought it and used it that season.  But the uneasy feel hung around for a while.

Shaggy I didn't think about that. Your right if I have a problem I would be on my own. Best to stay local.

Thanks for the input.
