Re: Cultural question
Yes it sells, sure sold me on a tv that records for fast forwarding......... We had three choices the way I saw it, 1. record and control, 2. iliminate tv from our house (probably the best choice and still in the running, or 3. Answer the questions from our 4 year old grandson about whether his royals will last 4 hours and how the lady knows that.
If you need a sign as to where this society is in its life cycle or what the baby boomers are like as leaders just watch a baseball game... to quote my wifes nephew who will pitch tonite "Nothing says post season baseball like 15 viagra commercials before the 5th inning!"

Re: Cultural question
Take a look from the other side Kay. Don't you think you hubby has to worry about you and the hired hand skinny dipping in the lagoon.
It's about trust, kay and either you trust him or not. Now if they were riding in the combine naked you might conclude that there was some hanky panky going on or you could assume the AC quit working in the combine.. In either case it requires trust just like the UPS driver stopping and the Shwans Ice cream driver stopping. especially when they take twice as long to make a delivery when the husband is in the field.
I guess it always depends on your perspetive.

Re: Cultural question
Well, my #1 hired hand is out daughter, and both UPS and FedEX send female drivers on ourvroutes, most often. I wouldn't take Schwann's if they gave it away....so, what's your point?

Re: Cultural question
My wife isn't generally jealous and I haven't given her reason to be.
But I recall once when I was working surveying for a waterway project she pulled up in the car and reacted pretty strongly that the NRCS tech was a nice looking young woman. We talked about it and she admitted she was surprised by her reaction. So I understand.
As far as the young seed rep goes, I'd treat her politely because my values say that a young woman can do that job just fine but I'd also not invite her into the cab. If she jumped in, as people sometime do, I'd probably politely attempt to move her along.

Re: Cultural question
No, the implication that I screw around on my husband with deliverymen wasn't one bit funny to me.
