Re: Fence disputes

Just wonder if the one who hired the tree surgeon already had a surveyor shoot that line?

I would have, before assaulting a tree that size...as someone said on here, it will cost big $$$ if not. Other thought might be the value is limited to its value as cut timber, in local/ state laws? Then. Not such a nig risk in maiming it.

Who wants to look up from their pool, and see that hideous thing hanging overhead?

Re: Fence disputes

In the same way that sissified activists believe that banning guns will stop people from killing each other, let's hope they don't suggest chainsaw control laws because I doubt taking chainsaws off the street would stop people from cutting down trees.  But in the same way that gun control proponents fail to realize that without guns, criminals will simply resort to knives, baseball bats, golf clubs, lead pipes and boards with nails in them to subdue their prey or give them an unfair physical advantage, haters of trees would use axes, hatchets, garrote wire or D9s to take those pesky trees down.  The old saying, "If there's a will, there's a way" is very true.

As for the tree hanging over the swimming pool, what's needles, cones, sparrow nests and some bird poop going to hurt?  The swimmer can just pretend they are the poles to swim around in their pool slaloms.

Re: Fence disputes

Breaking News -- From your News leader for East Central Indiana -  We recieved an update from one of our news gathering partners from town .  He was talking last night - to a guy IN the know - ( Town Marshall )  the tree ------------------------------------------ WAS on the trimmers side of the line !!!!!!!!!!

The other night - I had to make a run to Greenfield around 6 pm - of course - I had to look at it as I passed - I noticed that the trimmers had a section of the shadow box fence down - and appeared the trimmers were cleaning up the limbs - Well it turns out the - owner of the tree that was not the owner of the tree would not let the trimmers - now the owners of a limbless tree carry the limbs across her property !

Now my friends - after reading this - and I hearing and seeing first hand what is going on here - this may be the most childless event I have seen in many , many years !  Wouldn't it have been just as easy for the one party to just let them clean up the tree with out having to take down part of there fence ? That is just being a sore losser here - and hard headed ?  -  I'm just damn glad I Don't have to come home to a woman like that ! Thanks Mrs. ECI for having me - LOL

- there is still one thing pending - but need to varify

Have a good one !

Re: Fence disputes

I figured the trimmers had verified the line first...

Yes, childishness abounds in the world, some if it actually practiced by children, but much of it by alleged adults.

Maybe the trimmers should move the fence entirely to the line....

Re: Fence disputes

And poor little defensless trees continue to suffer........ You can stop these senseless acts and save poor defensless trees with just $19 per month.  To make a life long committment to save defensless conifers, send a credit card number or a bank account number to Jeff at Ag.com.  .. I will collect all from Jeff and make sure, together, we stop childlish mutilation of defensless trees.... Or make a check out to   American Suckers Preventing Conifer Abuse,,,, the ASPCA....??   Wait that might already be taken.......... Well just send blank checks, it works just as well.....  Be sure and sign em,,, it saves us time...   🙂

End of the customary guilt scam for Conifer research...

ECIN.

If the blocking of the cleanup was childish,,,, and it was.   If the trimmers owned the tree, why not just cut her off at the base and get her out of there?  would have been much faster and a lot less danger, labor, etc.....

Nothing worse than a poor little defensless tree caught up in a custody battle..... Ruined for life.

Re: Fence disputes

Cheryl,

Sorry this probably got off on the "dirt" road from your intention...... I apologize for my part and will make a customary kickback from proceeds received...... ECIN suggested I share the wealth.

A serious note.. I have not seen a "line" or fence issue taken that far.  But have seen county engineers attempt to rectify disputes with "official" boundary markers....''''''  If the current title holder(I mean "engineer") can figure out the original rules so they know from which corner to start measuring.... we have sections with 665 acres and sections with 525 acres..... and no apple device is going to change that.....

Out here where the ownership boundaries are pretty "square" with the world,  I think it is amazing we have not seen more disputes created by GPS Technology... and the inexperienced folks who operate those systems.

Legally the land is still divided by the technology of the "chain" that originally set up those boundaries no matter if that gps line comes out 25 feet over there...

I try to go easy on those operators.  Most have some education in operation of cell phones and social media.  A course in "office" software.  But very few these days know anything about neighborly living....
