Well, since you asked, Obama did manage to boost the top bracket a couple of years ago in exchange, as I recall, for making the Bush tax cuts on lower incomes permanent. Also, Obamacare has some income taxes to pay for the subsidies low income folks will get. Also, capital gains rate this year goes to 20% for the highest earners. Pretty sure most of this only hits incomes over $250,000, or in other words, all these farmers reading your posts. Was just trying to help you out - never throw meat to wolves 🙂

Mitt has paid far more in taxes during his lifetime than you have,  krafty.   Continue to waste time in class war fare if you wish to spin your wheels.

Again,  do you want reform of the current complex tax system that lets Warren Buffett,  Bill Gates,  the Kennedy trust fund clan,  get a pass on paying taxes, or replacing it with  a Flat Tax with a very limited amount of deductions?  

Meanwhile,  you can still volunteer to pay more if you really believe our govt needs even more money to whizz away?

Mitt also makes most of his money through his capital management company.  They buy and sell companies and Bane Capital Management makes the profits, taxed at a lower rate than individuals pay.
