Re: Interesting conversation
These are difficult and interessting times. Local businessmen are in a difficult bind. All the land is farmed but with 8-10 large entities in the area producing most of grain It is hard to be a successful business and not get a share of the larger producers. And we all know that eventually The big supply companies are going to deliver direst and bypass everything local.
How soon will everything from hand tools, fuel, groceries, fertilizer, parts, seed, ------ even coffee be distributed from a web site and a semi out of KC, Des Moines, Omaha, or St. L.
This is not going to get better -------- Walmart will be the only local supplier and they may decide delivery of a $1500 order or more is what they will do in a rural area.

Re: Interesting conversation
Question is farmerguy89, do we have a choice or are we just headed wherever the technology takes us?
I guess if we have no choice it is not worth discussing
