Lease Question

For share leases or leases with production or yield targets, what wording is in the lease, if any, that talks to the tenant making a good faith effort to optimize (I didn't say maximize) the return?  That might be profit or bushels or some other metric.

Is there general language?  Specific numbers or goals?  Faith in the tenant?  No discussion at all?

Re: Lease Question

Some share crop leases have a minimum $/acre.

Re: Lease Question

I seem to recall some leases drawn up by an attorney using terms like “a workmanlike manner “ or using “generally accepted farming practices “. Seems to me it was referring primarily to erosion control practices tho. I may have to look through my leases but I think most of mine that used an attorney are for cash
