New Farm Bill

Is it just me or does it seem like the new farm bill is totally overhyped?  You can't be a self respecting ag journalist or broadcaster without writing or  talking about it constantly, plenty of messages from local FSA and state FSA.

Don`t expect much and you won`t be disappointed, anytime a farmer`s income is linked to crop insurance or farm subsidies, he or she is not having a good year.  It is good fodder to write about.

It appears to me that most folks don't want government a subsidies. They simply don't believe in welfare of any kind. This should make most farmers happy.
