Re: Plight of Rural Hospitals on `This Week`.
Problem for me Is I still think medicare is medicare.......assistance for those who can't afford, are unemployable, disabled etc. Not assistance for everything but assistance for very basic healthcare. But Obamacare corrupted medicare by shifting the cost of insurance from the obamacare budget to the taxpayer funded but not obamacare medicare. Just to make the obamacare promise look true. just a slight of hand in political terms. Like trying to hide the welfare budget by including much of it in USDA. Just a slight of hand.
The more DC does for you the bigger the bill gets............. and the poorer it is administered.

Re: Plight of Rural Hospitals on `This Week`.
Look we have told our politicians for 20+ years that we are ok with running the country (every aspect of it) from Congress.
We have asked ( I am judging by who we vote for-- but the truth may be that our media outlets have asked for) Congress to rule on everything from what our children eat to where they can sit in the car. What diet they need, how they can be educated and how they are entertained. Congress has been more than willing to oblige and spends time on every personal detail of our lives..... even telling us what light bulbs to use and how much water we can flush. (enough examples)
K Street, as well as Wholistic, mega organic, maximum sexual proformance foods and the other scams usda studies and passes judgement on, are just a natural progression of the process........ They have the publics best interest in a very similar manner as those we elect---- when it sounds good for Public relations.
The federal bureaucracy continually expands meeting needs and wants ...... and when manufacturing moved out "wants and needs" became the primary things the US produces.

Re: Plight of Rural Hospitals on `This Week`.
I remember when Dairy was praised for their lobby efforts and how they succeeded. Now agriculture can't affort to pay the ante into the game. And to this day Farm Bureau and every other farm group stand on the sidelines wanting to be them,,,, including land grant universities..... wanting to work the system for the federal favors...
And yet no one wants to believe the justice department turns its head so often. Just enough Monopoly and bribery cases to look like their doing something while the congressional payoffs flow like the Colorado river without dams..
