Property taxes

Well seeing significant rises...some as bad as
30% in a single year. This with lowered assessed
Value. We are supposed to be a use/income assessment. Now what have profit margins been.

Re: Property taxes

Property taxes here go up 3-5% a year, every year, inflation or not.

Re: Property taxes

Looking at the ''recent history '' of your state government , I thought the former Governor had a '' tax cut '' policy agenda - soooo Kansas should be winning ?

Re: Property taxes

Doubled in two years....

gas and oil left,,,, population declines ... and agriculture picks up the tab.

and naturally we don;t want no new industry..... protest that.....

Re: Property taxes

SW - Kansas  political annalists should have taken your middle sentence some preempt thought, being it's not rocket science on the trends of the past 2 decades---

Jelly- Jam- Basket Weaving feel good economic development '' grant '' programs won't ever replace the once in-place main street core tax paying economy ---

Proceed with caution -  Experts at work thinking a migrant work force occupying jobs at a unimaginable turn over rate will add economic stability in-turn displacing folks that have 3-5 generations of rooted heritage in a community ---

Attempting to value & tax '' Tumble Weeds '' blowing down main street might not be a good  '' section 179 '' replacement ?

In Nebraska, 2 packing facilities were shuttered right in the heart of the largest beef finishing counties in the nation, Tyson at West Point (Cumming County) & Tyson at Norfolk 25 miles to the west - kinda interesting  ? ?
