Actually, his name (Rich Wilson) just came up last night as we sat in the Tony Roma restaurant - MOA, having supper with our daughter, her husband and two little kids. They live directly across the street and chat often in the nicer weather days that are finally coming to Minneapolis/Apple Valley. They said how they couldn't believe the difference between him and his wife, Marcia (she is so quiet, can barely get a word out of the pretty blonde gal). They both look to be in their early 50's.
Two weeks ago when we were up there visiting, (we live in Iowa - 7 miles from MN border) he was outside smoking, so I walked over to see how he was doing. He weighs all of 130 lbs. and his teeth are needing attention. He told me he was thinking of selling some land - of which I quickly told him to not sell the "goose that lays golden eggs". He actually seemed to listen to me (I have gray hair).
Anyhoo, our kids care about them as a family and wondered aloud how long one can go on, with health deteriorating so quickly. Cancer is a bad deal, so, in spite of his telling me again how many acres he owned, (I blew it off without comment) and what appears to be low self esteem, I wished him the best. He didn't seem to be planning to take his land with him......
