Senate Compromises on GMO Labelling
If making a good bill means everyone is somewhat unhappy, the Senate may have a good bill in the works.
It keeps the states from labelling but let's labels be either text on paper or via a code you can read with your smartphone.
Bernie Sanders is unhappy and so is the American Farm Bureau. Interesting bedfellows.
What's left up in the air? the question of why GMO are being labelled at all. I thought the WTO prohibited COOL for more or less the same issue - that labelling would be used in a discriminatory way?
Well, I have no intention of changing the way I farm. Anyone who buys my products can then label them anyway they wish.
