We have always tried to watch or listen to news reportage and commentary that isn't necessarily in agreement with our positions. It seems that you cannot grasp the other perspective, unless you hear what is heard or seen by people whose lives are very different from your own.
One show that I DVR and always watch is Bill Maher's " Real Time". This year, he produced a followup show called "Vice". The former gives great insight into the mindset that is full of criticism of agriculture, the latter an on-the-ground look at some very unusual places in the world.
