The modern day robber barons are greedily stuffing their pockets like fat kids at a candy store going out of business sale .  Now we finally have a commander-in-chief that calls a spade a spade, the easy pickings are at least talked about could come to an end.

If you look at the trade numbers, separating industry from agriculture, you notice a glaring reminder how important ag exports are.  Without them, the deficit would be many billions further in the red.  Agriculture is one of the few bright spots in American trade.  Yet, Trump cancelled TPP and threatens to withdraw from NAFTA.  This would cripple ag extensively.  Think about that the next time you go to the polls and vote for candidates who talk big and threaten to kill your livelihood.

Labor Unions would argue that NAFTA is the cause of the deficits because the jobs and products went south.  They would also argue that agriculture will export NAFTA or not.  What do you think?  If we get out of NAFTA, will Mexico still buy our corn?

Jim, not likely near as much, only as last resort. Mexico already moved to buy corn and may purchase wheat from Argentina.

The jobs likely would have left anyway, especially in this free enterprise, global environment. Labor is too weak to do anything and labor listens to fear mongering. Too many opportunities to influence paranoid people.
