we did and your right,,,,, the end of one blade was missing.

All still tight and bearings look good .......... we kept running and are checking it regularly.

Will see if we can replace the blade this winter.

I usually use crossword and puzzle solvers -- webpages like https://crossword-solver.io/clue/unit-of-retractive-power/ -- but in this case… they do not really help me. My guess is that it is an extra piece or something that’s not from your elevator. It looks very odd, so I don’t know where it comes from. It looks like a deteriorated part of metal -- not something that helps the elevator to function. I saw someone saying that it is a part of an alien spaceship and that is the most realistic and genuine answer you can get. I definitely agree with it.

Lol. The green paint is confusing me a lot. To be fair, it looks like a Sprite can to me. Or, maybe it's from an alien spaceship? Who knows? I've been reading through the comments, and I think you should give us some more clues. By the way, talking about real puzzles now, I've recently discovered these fantastic free puzzles you can play online. I solve around 7 puzzles per day (and yes, it takes me around 5 hours to do that). And, yes, you can call me a puzzle nerd, but I'm thoroughly enjoying this. So, yeah, I thought it'd be nice to share it with you here.
