oh this is wonderful..........I just got some data in....look at the base figure used, and with the new allowance to allow those over

50 to have a 5x overcharge.........my premium will go up $2000 per month !!!!.....not to figure in added rates for pre-existing, and

for plans that will be capped, and fewer things covered......

yea.......just keep listening to ole rush.........you know, if he was as smart as he claims, why doesn't he run for office and do the

Cars are not people.  I doubt we can successfully turn back the clock to pre-Obamacare, and doubt the current GOP plan helps most of us much, if any, probably increases insurance costs again for those of us in the twilight pre-Medicare window.  The people most helped by Obamacare were those who were using the emergency rooms as their primary care providers -- we were all paying for it in our doctor/hospital  bills -- and those with pre-existing conditions that either made them unable to obtain health insurance, unable to change their health coverage provider, and/or made coverage (and healthcare) so unaffordable that they were "taking their chances" or being forced into bankruptcy if their health deteriorated, and/or being forced to make health decisions based solely on their cash position.  Neither Obamacare nor the current GOP plan really did anything to actually control actual health care costs overall, they are both plans primarily addressing availability and costs of health insurance coverage, along with the mandates and tax/spend.  Overall, since the Obamacare ship has sailed, Obamacare probably does the most to make health insurance (and thus healthcare) most available to the most people.  The GOP provision to make $x available to fund pre-existing conditions for x number years is not something I'd want to rely on for my future health care, if I was in that position.

The time to repeal Obamacare was within the first couple of years of its enactment, before the choices became so limited by insurance companies pulling out, before the millions of uninsured signed up, before the individual policy market was destroyed, etc.  For those of us not on Medicare, who do not have access to an employer insurance plan, who lost their previous insurance coverage due to Obamacare (for whatever reason), our choices are now quite limited (compared to pre-Obamacare), and the GOP plan doesn't help.  For those who had insurance coverage pre-Obamacare, and were being treated for some long-term illness or disease, then switched to the marketplace to obtain subsidized insurance coverage (or lost their previous coverage and made the switch) -- those people have pre-existing conditions, and under the GOP plan would be subject to what the government decides on coverage and funding.  It isn't difficult to find someone who would be adversely impacted by the GOP plan -- it itself, that is a red flag.  The biggest benefactors under the GOP plan appear to be those planning on how to spend the extra money from the tax savings.

Basically, I'm thinking the horse is out of the barn and over the hill.  Improvements can be made to Obamacare, but the GOP plan might not be the right answer, and healthcare should not be a partisan issue (that's how we got Obamacare in the first place), it should be open to public discussion, open debate, considered compromise, etc.  No more of "you'll have to pass it to see what is in it" -- analyze it, discuss it, consider the ramifications, make the comparisons, figure out to help the most people the best we can, figure out how to harm the least people the best we can, get it right, whatever it is, or let it ride.  There are pros and cons to both the GOP plan and Obamacare.

ElCheapo we all die, no one gets out of here alive, I don`t want machinery hooked up pumping my lungs and heart keeping me in a vegetative state, but all that crap is high priced.  my grandparents and your grandparents got by fine without it.  Never met my one grandma she died of Leukemia, the other grandma lived to about 90 both grandpas in their 80`s.  My folks made it to about 80.  But we have all this high priced machinery to keep people alive, but they have a poor quality of life (not one that I would want) and this cost is amortized over everyone`s cost...basically we can`t afford it and don`t want to admit it.   It was probably a blessing that we didn`t have the high tech stuff a number of years ago and didn`t have the moral dilemma of having to use it.   If there was one small good thing about Obamacare was it brought the discussion of "How much should we have to spend to keep a heart beating?  $1million...$5 million? $10 million?" .   People die and if Jesus is your Savior, that is a good thing...get the hell out of here 

But these high priced drugs and their side effects on tv they run ads for miracle drugs followed by ads to sue drug makers because of the side effects they didn`t tell you about and if you take them, you just live 10 years longer in a $6,000/mo nursing home...no thank you! 

Eat good food, avoid Pork (for your own good) take vitamins, treat yourself with herbs, brush and floss your teeth and get plenty of sunshine and exercise and that`s better than all the hospitals and insurance  and drugs and all that damned crap, if you die you die and you will so know Jesus.

Now again as I understand it, yes if you don`t get 80% of APH  or whatever you insure your crop for and hail takes more your subsidized insurance will take you back to 80% of APH.  But if you get hailed and you`re right at 80% of APH, you are SoL.  Hail insurance you buy maybe $500/acre coverage and if you get 5% damage, they`ll pay you on that 5% ...or whatever up to you $500 or whatever coverage you buy.

There was 2 "last chances" to get rid of Obamacare 1. was before Justice Roberts screwed us calling Obamacare a "tax" to save it the second was if we elected Mitt Romney in 2012 that was before all the goodies kicked in.   Now we`re stuck with slapping bandaids on Obamacare.

That`s true "cars are not people" however Insurance is Insurance, and if we`re going to have a fasade of insurance for health, then we need to operate it as such as we did pre-Obamacare.  Obamacare did nothing to lower healthcare costs, even the Libs admitted that. But giving the advertised 39million uninsured, insurance was a Rube Goldberg scheme...why not just put them on medicare?

Then the illegal aliens 11 million or 20 million showing up at the emergency room for healthcare because the lettuce farmer wanted cheap workers and didn`t furnish healthcare....well there you go, cheap lettuce in the supermarket BUT high priced healthcare when the doctors and hospitals have to eat that cost and amortize that cost down to YOU.
