I totally agree with the EPA - If this is passed - IT would be all Black and White = were screwed .  Come on here folks - this don't take Einstein to figure this out - this rule - law-- would effect all water ways - I haven't ever seen a open ditch just go no where - have you ?  it start's in the fields - either from surface or tile to the ditch then the ditch dumps into a river or small stream then it dumps into something bigger and ends up in the gulf = this it the simple way for the EPA to controll chemicls - N - Fert. you name it .

But - I do believe there should be some kind of run off controll - there is only one Earth - isn't there ?

Trying to get my mind around this one. I THINK I'm not to worried for now. I dont want more EPA just better. How many EPA employees would it take to check every stream, creek, ditch, and pond in America. Do they have enough money to do that.
If I spill something in the ditch on the back pasture I believe I should be just as accountable as someone else spilling something into a river. Some years ago I took a EPA inspector to look at the dust collection system at the factory. She took a sample and said that the dust particles were to big to be harmful. But we still had to monitor the system daily. Now the company rules will not allow employees to work on this system because it is to dusty. She also said most dust created on farms was also to big to be harmful. I wander if the definition of harmful has changed.
