Coats tire machine

what can anyone tell me   about a tire machine ,it works but does not have the power i think it should have. It works with no apparent leaks  but when you try to break a tire off the wheel it starts but then seems to run out of power and not complete  the turn .  i can help it and get the job done but it would be nice if the machine did it. Any help much appreciated, Maybe something needs rebuilt.  I have 90 plus psi to and no help. It has some age on it  but it was free and i like to make it work if possible. It is a coats maybe 1010 not sure on the model till i check. thanks

I worked in a tire shop when I was a kid. I would let the machine go just past half a turn then lift the bar off the shaft, let off the air pedal so the shaft turns back to where you can slip the bar back over it, then with a fresh bite you hit the peddle and continue to pop the bead.

Never ran a tire machine that didnt loose power on a full rotation, but it has been a few years.
