Grain Pump
I am putting up a 60' bin - the leg isn't tall enough to use to fill it, so I am considering a grain pump on the roof. Would like to hear any pros and cons. For double the cost I can go from the peak of an existing bin to the peak of the new bin with another type of conveyor - ideas?

Re: Grain Pump
Add height to the leg. Might be an additional cost up front, but you can never beat the reliability of gravity to the bin instead of any conveying system. After many years my father in law took our leg height from 80' to 160'. That eliminated the need for 8 augers and beltveyors. His only regret: Not doing it many years ago.
