970 Case manual shift
New to owning a Case tractor.
Could anyone tell me what is causing the engine to labor slightly, (very noticeable at idel), when I raise the rockshaft all the way up? Stops laboring if I let it down slightly....I believe it is the hydraulic pump dead heading, but do not know why...
Thanks in advance.....

The biggest problem with the Case transmission was that Deere guys hated on it because the competition was Case IH and the IH guys hated on it because they longed for their glory days. They had their quirks and the haters made sure everyone heard about them.
