Radioactive Wild Boar Roaming Germany
28 years after Chernobyl, 1/3 of wild boar shot in Germany are testing too high in radioactivity for human consumption. Apparently, they eat mushrooms and other underground fungi that store radiation and thereby become radiated themselves. It sounds kind of like the big fish that eat all the little fish with mercury and end up poison themselves.
The Germans figure the problem will last another 50 years. They warn people not ot eat the mushrooms.
The German government pays hunter who harvest a radioactive wild hog.
