Re: WANTED: Row Crop Cultivator and Cultivator Shields
I'd be looking for something to use. I'm more interested in a cultivator with a rigid/straight shank. I have currently have a JD 630 but haven't been able to find the solid shields/fenders anywhere.

I have a Brillion 6 30 inch rows with rolling shields. It has Danish tines and is in good shape. I would sell it pretty cheap. I am in NE Indiana.

Re: WANTED: Row Crop Cultivator and Cultivator Shields
That's great. What type of cultivator is it? Does it have straight shanks? Are the shields the flat/blade type shields?

Re: WANTED: Row Crop Cultivator and Cultivator Shields
It has Danish tines which are curled so that they spring back if you hit a rock. Some say they do a better job of loosening the soil. The shields are round and they roll as you go down the rows. I think they are an improvement over the straight, flat shields we used to have. These shields can be fastened up out of the way when the crop is tall enough to not need them. The shovels don't have much wear on them. Each row has a gauge wheel that helps on uneven ground.

Re: WANTED: Row Crop Cultivator and Cultivator Shields
Thanks, but I'm looking for something with straight shanks. I have a JD with danish tines but due to the wet spring we've had the past few years, the weeds have gotten out of hand and I feel the danish tines just don't do as good of a job as the straight shanks in those types of situations.
