1640 with 1020 header and reel won't turn

We just hooked the bean head up today after having to replace the rotor on the 1640 and the reel won't turn. It doesn't move at all when the feeder house is on. I trouble shot the hydraulic side by just hooking battery power up to the solenoid and the reel spins. Trying to figure out where to look next. Thinking of bypassing the manual/ auto switch and seeing if that makes it work. Don't know what else would be controlling it and haven't found a fuse that would be in the system. Does anyone have a diagram that shows the wiring in the control panel on the side of the cab? Any other advice. We are really wanting to get combining since we all have full time jobs and only can do this on weekends and nights. Thanks

Check to make sure you didn't turn the reel speed to zero. Also if you have auto variable speed turn it to manual.

It is on manual. I've tried the speed knob in all ranges along with the speed calibration knobs by the fuses.

This just a GUESS here - but you said you had the rotor replaced - my guess is that the reel was working before the rotor pull - could they have cut a wire in this process ???? I would check the wireing under the cab or around it - They have to drop the throat and then the front has to come off = lots of wires - and since you checked the reel with 12 volts and it turns ?????

Good luck

What Ken said. Also try to check your ground wire. Seems like 9 out of 10 times wierd electrical problems end up being a ground problem.
